Special opportunities

International Year of Biodiversity stamp

The Hungarian Post Office celebrated the International Year of Biodiversity with

1. a new block of postage-stamps depicting the diversity of a meadow, including many insects, and

2. a series "Fauna of Hungary", featuring Phyllomorpha laciniata, one of the most peculiar insect species in Hungary.

An occasional stamp will be released, celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Hungarian Entomological Society (25 August, 2010), which the Congress will also celebrate with a coctail on that day.

Participants will have the opportunity to order from among these stamps, with the occasional stamp, at registration, and will receive them on Thursday (26th August) in the Congress Venue.

Medal

A very special medal will be available at the conference, produced on the occasion of 9th ECE (with its logo) and the 100th anniversary of HES (with the society's logo). The medal will be produced in a limited number of 20, so will be really a unique souvenir, or a real collector's item.
